St Prex is a romantic small town on a peninsula in Lake Geneva near Morges in the La Côte region of Switzerland. The historic old town center is photogenic, as is the waterfront with views of the Alps.
St Prex is a lovely old town and a pleasure to visit in any weather. It has the only surviving medieval town gate in the region, which still serves as a major entrance into the historic old town center. Many old buildings are adorned with wrought iron signs and other decorations. Waterfront promenades allow for long strolls next to Lac Léman while many beached and picnic areas may be accessed for free by all visitors. The views from the Romanic St Prothais church over the roofs of St Prex, Lake Geneva, and Alpine peaks are particularly fine. Transportation to St Prex is easy by car, train, boat, or bus from Geneva and Lausanne (via Morges).
